Yesterday Chris had to cancel our dinner plans, she had to meet with one of her renters in West Covina at 6:00 PM so we rescheduled for tonight. The unexpected surprise is Paul will be in town today. 3 doors that were on backorder for Chris’s kitchen came in, so he is driving up today with them. So Chris, Paul and I are going to meet up for dinner tonight. He will be here until Saturday. Lisa and Justin are coming up tomorrow for Justin’s Orthodontic appointment and they also have a Birthday party to go to on Saturday. It is Melanie’s 40th, I was invited but I just could not take the time off at the Hospital so soon after my vacation, not because they wouldn’t give it to me, I just couldn’t afford to. I probably will not see Lisa or Justin since I have the X-Files movie and lunch on Saturday before work. And of course tomorrow I am working the 2 jobs until Midnight! I do have some good news about Justin, his Orthopedic surgeon. gave him the OK to go back any and all physical activities. His knee he said “healed beautifully” So the first thing Justin did was jump on his new dirt bike (motorcycle) he got for his Birthday in January. He has never been on it since his surgery was also in January. I would of been a nervous wreck but my son and DIL don’t worry like I do!
Last night I did nothing but exercise have a little dinner and watched my recorded shows called “Fear Itself” it is on NBC and is kind of like a Twilight Zone every week, there is a new cast and plot. I am liking them. I think this show is just a Summer replacement though.
As most of you know I am a big xfiles fan. The movie is coming out on Friday after 10 long years since the last one. The TV show was on from 1993-2002. The first movie came out June 1998. As you can see below my license plate is a tribute to the X-Files. My DIL talked me into getting that plate a few years after I bought my car.
It was not a very exciting weekend except for seeing The Dark Knight on Sunday and I want to tell you it gave me chills to see Heath Ledger. He was so good as the Joker! What a great performance and so sad that we won’t see him again! Everyone must see this movie even if you aren’t a Batman fan like me. The tickets were all sold out all weekend. I decided to play it safe and went at 11:30 AM on my lunch break to get the tickets for the 4:50 show. Dark Knight set a weekend record with $155.34M!! What a madhouse it was the lines were wrapped around the block, but I got the tickets and we got there just 30 minutes before it started and they were letting the long line in! We got good aisle seats. We had dinner at Barragan’s Mexican Restaurant afterwards. I had a carnita’s tostado and Joe had the enchilada’s. The rest of the weekend I just worked and talked to crazy people on the phone! It was a full moon on Friday and I will tell you every time there is a full moon I get the craziest calls at the Hospital. This week ahead will be a mild week I only have plans one night on Wednesday with Chris. I am learning to try not to spread myself to thin. I try to cramp so much in while working all the hours I do 7 days a week. In 2 weeks I will be working a full week of evenings at the Hospital until midnight. Naomi is going on vacation. I am getting psyched up for that. And making sure I am getting plenty of rest.
